Soups & Sweet Treat 11.1.12

What a week it is going to be!  Full moon, Halloween & Hurricane Sandy!  The soups & sweet treat will be delivered on All Saint Day this week!  Order a quart or two and a sweet treat to warm your soul after all the mayhem!
Albondigas Soup…A traditional Mexican soup featuring tasty meatballs floating in a full flavored broth with good for you veggies.  Even my super picky 6-year-old likes this soup!  Ingredients:  Meatballs:  Local ground turkey, rice, cilantro, mint, eggs, milk, cumin, salt & pepper.  Soup:  chicken stock, cumin, mexican oregano, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, zucchini, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, kosher salt & pepper.  Garnished w. tortilla chips & jack cheese.  13. per quart served w. bread.  Gluten-Free

Farmer’s Root Vegetable Soup…a celebration of all the jewels  freshly dug from Vermont soil!  Ingredients:  onions, celery, fennel, carrots, garnet yams, parsnips, turnips, celeriac, veggie stock, kosher salt, pepper, fresh thyme & fresh dill.  Garnished w. dill sour cream.  13. per quart served w. bread.  Vegetarian, Gluten-Free & Vegan (minus sour cream garnish).  The roots in this soup are cooked until soft…it is not a puree!

Sweet Treat:  Chocolate Chip Popcorn Cookies…for those of you that like your sweet w. salty!  Butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, popcorn, kosher salt & chocolate chips.  1. per cookie
