Woot woot! Thursday soups and sweet treats are back! After a wonderful summer I am looking forward to getting back in the kitchen.
Summer heat is here today and will last over the weekend, BUT, the forecast claims that by Thursday there will be a nip in the air. Perfect weather to enjoy a quart or two of soup loaded with end of summer produce.

Summer Salsa Soup with Tomatoes,Black Beans and Corn…a fancy name for a light, fresh veggie chili made- summer style! Ingredients: Olive oil, onion, garlic, jalapeno, black beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, veggie stock, kosher salt, pepper, & fresh cilantro. Sweet Treat: Zucchini Sandwich Cookies (soft zucchini bread style cookies sandwiched with cream cheese frosting) 1.50 per cookie
