Soups & Sweet Treat 5/21/15

What a glorious weekend! The shades of green, the lilacs & the apple blossoms at this time of year never cease to amaze me. Thursday looks to be another one of those delightful spring days- that holds just enough chill- for soup to taste great!

Corn & Roasted Red Pepper Chowder…This is a popular chowder- pureed roasted red peppers give it a beautiful color! Ingredients: canola oil, onions, celery, carrots, garlic, yukon gold potatoes, coriander, bay leaves, corn, roasted red pepper, OPTIONAL light cream, fresh cilantro, kosher salt & pepper. 13. per quart served w. bread

Beef & Black Bean Chili…It may not be COLD outside, but pretty soon it will be HOT and chili will be gone until fall. So- this is your last chance until next season! Ingredients:canola oil, red onions, garlic, beef, black beans, tomatoes, chipolte peppers, kosher salt, lime, pepper & cilantro.
