Soup & Sweet Treat 10.22.15

What a weekend! Rain, hail,  snow, wind , sun & foliage- what a beautiful place we live in!

Thursday, soup day, is my oldest daughter’s 13th birthday!  I will be delivering a bit early so I can run home, hang some party decorations and celebrate my teenager!

Vegetarian Mulligatawny Soup…a favorite soup of many!  Ingredients:  canola oil, onions, garlic, celery, carrots, lentils, tomatoes, chickpeas, tomato juice, curry powder, cumin, coriander, cayenne, coconut milk, bit of honey, basmati rice, kosher salt, pepper, & fresh cilantro.  13. per quart served w. bread.  Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten-Free

Broccoli Cheddar Soup…A classic & one that appeals to both kids & grown-ups!  Ingredients:  butter, onions, garlic, flour, half-and-half, veggie stock, carrots, broccoli, cheddar cheese, kosher salt & pepper.  Garnished w. extra cheddar, 13. per quart served w. bread.  Vegetarian

Soups & Sweet Treat 10.15.15

Enjoy the amazing colors and warm temps today!  Looks like there could be flurries the white kind by the end of the week!

Pasta E Fagioli…when I was in college one of my go to meals was canned pasta e fagioli soup with a grilled cheese.  This soup, MUCH better then the canned version, transports me back in time.  Ingredients:  olive oil, onions, carrots, celery, fennel, garlic, crushed tomatoes, veggie stock, cannelloni beans, ditalini pasta, fresh basil, fresh parsley, kosher salt & pepper.  13. per quart, garnished w. parm.  Vegetarian & Vegan (minus parm garnish)

Home-Style Chicken & Veggie Soup…a hearty soup using the last of summers fresh veggies & chunks of tender chicken.  Ingredients:  olive oil, chicken, onions, carrots, celery, fennel, zucchini, yukon gold potatoes, tomatoes, chicken stock, fresh parsley, kosher salt & pepper.  13. per quart, served w. bread.  Gluten-Free

Soups & Sweet Treat 10.8.15

I am excited about both of these soups this week!  YUM!

Beef, Bean, and Hominy Chili w. Cilantro Sour Cream…typical chili recipe with the addition of hominy. Ingredients: canola oil, ground beef, onions, red pepper, green pepper, jalapeno, garlic, chili powder, diced tomatoes, beer, hominy, pinto beans, black beans, oregano, kosher salt, pepper.  13. per quart served w. bread & Garnished w. Cilantro Sour Cream.  Gluten-Free

Cauliflower, Potato & Cheddar Soup…one of those soups where a combination of simple veggies turns into an amazing meal!  Ingredients:  olive oil, garlic, onions, celery, carrots, cauliflower, yukon golds, milk, cheddar cheese, nutmeg, dry mustard, kosher salt & pepper.  Vegetarian, Vegan (if specified- I can omit the dairy) & Gluten-Free.  13. per quart served w. bread
