Soups & Sweet Treat 2.23.17

This will be the LAST soup Thursday in February…soup freezes well if you want to order an extra quart for the following Thursday!  I will be off next week- my girls have school vacation and many customers are away this last week of February-first week of March.  For those of you going to warmer places enjoy!  For those of us staying here- it would be nice to get one more snow storm to play in!!!  Soup will return 3/2/17!

Cauliflower-Potato Chowder…I was planning on making this soup this week, when yesterday, a friend told be her 10 year old daughter had been thinking about it, and wanted her to make it!  Great minds think alike!  Part creamy and full of flavor this a favorite of kids and adults.  Ingredients: canola oil, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, potatoes, cauliflower, bay leaves, cheddar cheese, whole milk,  a bit of mustard, kosher salt & pepper.  Garnished w. scallions.  13. per quart. Vegetarian  & Gluten-Free

Italian Wedding Soup…One of my favorites- I can’t believe I haven’t made it yet this season!  Tiny meatballs, tiny pasta, thinly sliced greens and a rich chicken stock.  Ingredients: Soup: chicken stock, onions, celery, garlic, kosher salt, pepper, fresh parsley., acini de pepe (tiny, tiny pasta), and thinly sliced greens.  Meatballs: ground beef, ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesean cheese, garlic, parsley, eggs, kosher salt & pepper.  13. per quart served w. bread.

Sweet Treat: Loaded oatmeal cookies.  1. each
