Soups & Sweet Treat 4.20.17

This will be the last soup & sweet treat Thursday in April.  I will be on break the last week of the month and will return the first Thursday in May!

Cream of Spinach Soup…This soup mimics the color of early spring in Vermont!  Ingredients: olive oil, butter, onions, garlic, celery, potatoes, veggie stock, fresh spinach, nutmeg, whole milk, kosher salt, ground pepper.  Garnished w. herbed croutons.  13. per quart served w. bread.  Vegetarian & Gluten Free minus garnish.

Chili…local ground turkey & a medley of peppers- yum!  Ingredients: ground turkey, black beans, pinto beans, rainbow peppers, onions, cumin, chili powder, oregano, garlic, tomatoes, cilantro, kosher salt & pepper.  Garnished w. sour cream and tortilla chips.  13. per quart served w. bread.

Sweet Treat: Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies w. or w. out nuts.  1. each

Hello Spring- to celebrate enjoy a quart or two of Spring-y soups this week!

Asparagus & Rice Soup…this soup has minimal ingredients yet has a magic taste! Adapted from Judy Rogers’ Zuni cookbook.  Ingredients: olive oil, onions, chicken stock, asparagus, bacon or pancetta, white rice, kosher salt & freshly ground pepper.  Garnished w. Parm, 13. per quart served w. bread.  Gluten-Free

Tomato Garlic Soup w. Spinach & Tortellini…delicious broth, fresh green spinach and filling cheese tortellini!  Ingredients: veggie stock, garlic, olive oil, paprika, fresh thyme, fresh parsley, canned chopped tomatoes, fresh spinach, cheese tortellini, kosher salt & pepper.  Garnished w. Parm, 13.per quart served w. bread.  Vegetarian.

Sweet Treat: Salted Peanut Butter Cookie/ Ingredients: light brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, peanut butter, sea salt.  Gluten-Free 1. each

Soups & Sweet Treat 4.6.17

Hello April!  I was so happy to turn the calendar on Saturday- sloppy snow storm and all!  Enjoy the beautiful spring weather today…looks like April showers for the rest of the week.  Perfect for melting the snow and feeding the spring bulbs!

Cheddar Broccoli Soup…classic!  Ingredients: butter, onions, garlic, flour, half and half, bay leaves, carrots, broccoli, cheddar cheese, kosher salt & pepper.  13. per quart served w. bread & garnished w. extra cheddar! Vegetarian

Lentil Soup w. Sausage & Chard…this broth is sooo good- rich and flavorful! Ingredients: olive oil, sweet Italian sausage, onions, celery, garlic, carrots, lentils, bay leaves, crushed tomatoes, swiss chard, kosher salt & pepper.  13. per quart served w. bread & garnished w. Parm.  Gluten-Free

Sweet Treat: Oatmeal Sandwich Cookies- 2. each
