Soups & Sweet Treat 5.4.17

I took a week off and Burlington decided to go green!  Enjoy the gaudy splendor of spring in Vermont!

Mexican Tortilla Soup…my ode to Cinco De Mayo…Ingredients: canola oil, onions, green pepper, garlic, cumin, chipotle in adobo, chicken stock, tomatoes, chicken, kosher salt, and pepper.  Garnished w. sour cream, scallions, cilantro, tortilla strips & lime wedges.  13. per quart, served w. bread.  Gluten-Free

Corn & Roasted Red Pepper Chowder…the color of a sunset & a favorite among fans of corn chowder.  Ingredients: canola oil, onions, celery, carrots, garlic, yukon gold potatoes, veggie stock, coriander, bay leaves, corn, whole milk, pureed roasted red peppers, kosher salt, pepper & fresh cilantro.  13. per quart served w. bread.  Gluten-Free & Vegetarian.

Sweet Treat:  Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 1.each
