Thursday Soup Willa be on the first day of February!  The shortest month of the year AND the days are getting longer.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup…a friend just shared this recipe with me. It is delicious and different and features all kind  Sof things that taste wonderful mid winter. Mushrooms, kale, and wild rice in a light cream broth. Ingredients : bacon, onions, carrots, celery, fresh thyme, cremini mushrooms, chicken stock, kale, chicken, wild rice , half and half, kosher salt and pepper. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Gluten-free 

Puree of Root Vegetable Soup…this soup celebrates all of the wonderful, locally grown, root vegetables that we can find all winter long.  People who claim to not like root veggies love this soup. It’s the creamy, rich texture- comfort food reminiscent of mashed potatoes. Ingredients: butter, garlic, onions, carrots, parsnips, turnips, sweet potatoes, celeriac, veggie stock, nutmeg, light cream, kosher salt and pepper. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Vegetarian & Gluten-free 

Sweet Treat: peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. 1. Each
