Soups & Sweet Treat 3.29.18

Despite the chilly temps- it almost felt like spring this weekend. The first crocus bloomed in my garden and we went on our first picnic of the season yesterday. Hope you all have a wonderful last week of March.

Asparagus, Potato & Herb Soup…this soup is creamy and filling yet still tastes of spring thanks to the plethora of fresh herbs. Ingredients : asparagus, butter, garlic, onions, celery, fennel, Yukon gold potatoes, veggie stock, white wine, fresh basil, fresh dill, fresh tarragon, light cream, kosher salt and pepper. 13. Per quart served w. Bread  Vegetarian, Gluten-free

Italian Sausage & Zuchhini Soup…full of flavor and vegetable heavy this is a thoroughly satisfying soup. Ingredients : olive oil, onions. Celery, carrots, green pepper, garlic, sweet Italian sausage, tomatoes, oregano, parsley, basil, zucchini, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese. 13. Per quart served w.bread. Gluten- free

Sweet Treat: homemade Oreos. 2. Each

Soups & Sweet Treat 3.22.18

The calendar says that tomorrow is the first day of spring!   The snowpack and temps say different- but, the maples are starting to flower and bulbs are popping in sunny south facing spots.  Treat yourself to a comforting quart or two of soup and enjoy the warming March sun and longer days.

Classic Chickem Noodle…the quientisental cure all! Ingredients : from scratch chicken stock (wings and legs, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, parsley, thyme, kosher salt and pepper), chicken, carrots, celery, egg noodles, and fresh parsley. 13. Per quart served w. Bread

Carrot Ginger Soup… spring in a bowl!  Ingredients : leeks, carrots, celery, fresh ginger, veggie stock, coriander, ground ginger, light cream, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w. Greek yougurt toasted pumpkin seeds. Vegetarian , vegan (minus the dairy, please specify) gluten-free. 13. Per quart served w. Bread.

Soups & Sweet Treat 3.15.18

I am looking forward to taking down the soup pots and getting back to work!  A bit of business before posting this weeks goods…

In addition to Thursday soups I do Tuesday meals. I offer a choice of two entrees w. Side dishes in two different sizes. Some order one, some both – some weekly, some a few times a month. Two of my longtime customers have moved away. I am looking to fill these spots. You DO not to need to commit to a weekly order, but a minimum of twice a month is required. Beef & Black Bean Chili…yum!  The favorite of all the different chilis I make. Ingredients : canola oil, garlic, onions, chipotle in adobo, cumin, chili powder, black beans, ground beef, tomatoes, lime juice, fresh cilantro and kosher salt. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Garnished w. Sour cream and grated cheddar. Gluten-free 

Tomato Orzo Soup w. Double Cheese Croutons…reminiscent of the classic child hood favorite – tomato soup and toasted cheese! Ingredients : olive oil, onions, garlic, veggie stock, pinch of sugar, pinch of saffron, orzo, heavy cream, kosher salt and pepper. Double Cheese Croutons: baguette, olive oil, grated park and gruyere.  13.
