Soups & Sweet Treat 3.22.18

The calendar says that tomorrow is the first day of spring!   The snowpack and temps say different- but, the maples are starting to flower and bulbs are popping in sunny south facing spots.  Treat yourself to a comforting quart or two of soup and enjoy the warming March sun and longer days.

Classic Chickem Noodle…the quientisental cure all! Ingredients : from scratch chicken stock (wings and legs, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, parsley, thyme, kosher salt and pepper), chicken, carrots, celery, egg noodles, and fresh parsley. 13. Per quart served w. Bread

Carrot Ginger Soup… spring in a bowl!  Ingredients : leeks, carrots, celery, fresh ginger, veggie stock, coriander, ground ginger, light cream, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w. Greek yougurt toasted pumpkin seeds. Vegetarian , vegan (minus the dairy, please specify) gluten-free. 13. Per quart served w. Bread.
