Baked Potato Soup…I start to crave potatoes at this time of year.  Something about their earthy creaminess helps ground me , and protect me from the damp gloom of Kate fall. Ingredients: garlic, butter, leeks, veggie stock, bay leaves, russet potatoes, sour cream, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w. Scallions, cheddar cheese, and optional bacon. 13. Per quart served with bread. Vegetarian (minus bacon) gluten-free 

Black Bean Pumpkin Soup …my ode to Halloween..Ingredients: black beans, tomato, onions, garlic, cumin, canola oil, beef broth, puréed pumpkin, ham, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w. Sour cream and pumpkin seeds. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Gluten-free 

Sweet Treat – giving us a sweet break this week!  I think by Thursday our sweet tooth will be dampened by all the Halloween candy we have eaten!

The last soup Thursday of October!!!

Coconut Curried Winter Squah Soup… a taste of fall!  Sweet and creamy winter squash puréed with warm spices and thickened with coconut milk. Ingredients: butternut squash, canola oil, garlic, ginger, jalapeño, curry powder, veggie stock, coconut milk, lime juice, cilantro, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w, toasted pepitas. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free 

Italian wedding soup… garlicky chicken stock loaded w. Bitter greens, baby pasta and tender meatballs. Ingredients: ground beef, eggs, Parmesan, bread crumbs, garlic, basil, parsley, olive oil, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, diced tomatoes, chicken stock, baby pasta, chard, kosher salt and pepper. Garnished w. Parmesan cheese. 13. Per quart served with bread

No need to leave ice in your cooler this week- it may not even reach 40 degrees on Thursday!  Brrrr…

Eggplant Parmesan Soup … this maybe one of my favorite soups. If you would like it gluten free let me know , I will omit the croutons. Ingredients: eggplant, olive oil, garlic, onions, celery, carrots, tomatoes, tomato juice, veggie stock, oregano, basil, croutons, Parmesan, kosher salt and pepper. 13. Per quart served with bread vegetarian

Thai Red Curry Chicken Noodle Soup ... an explosion of flavors and textures. Ingredients: canola oil, shallots, garlic, scallions, ginger, curry powder, curry paste, chicken stock, coconut milk, chicken, fish sauce, soy sauce, rice noodles, and cilantro. Garnished w. Bean sprouts and lime. 13 per quart served with bread. Gluten free

Enjoy the Indian summer tomorrow and Wednesday- this maybe the end of the gardening season, mild nights, and steamy afternoons for a while!

Silky Cauliflower Soup… this simple soup tastes like so much more them it is!  A creamy, smooth cauliflower soup garnished s. Spiced roasted cauliflower and a sprinkle of fresh herbs. Ingredients : cauliflower, onions, garlic, olive oil, veggie stock, Parmesan cheese.  Garnish : cauliflower. Olive oil, salt, pepper, cumin, paprika and turmeric. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Vegetarian & gluten- free

Beef  & Black Bean Chili… my most popular chili, lots of beans, beef and yummy toppings. Ingredients : canola oil, onions, garlic, black beans, ground beef, tomatoes, cumin, chili powder, chipotle in Adobe, kosher salt, pepper, and lime juice. Garnished w. Sour cream, cilantro and cheddar cheese. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Gluten -free

Sweet Treat: homemade oreos. 2. Each

Welcome October!

Libyan Beef & Chickpea Soup… a riff on what is considered one of Libya’s national dishes. This version has meatballs made w. Beef rather then lamb and uses fresh mint and parsley as opposed to dried. Full of flavor and slightly spicy this may become a new favorite. Ingredients : meatballs: bread crumbs, local ground beef, kosher salt, fresh mint and fresh parsley. Soup: olive oil, onions, cumin, turmeric, diced tomatoes, harissa, chicken stock, chickpeas, couscous, lemon juice, kosher salt, pepper and fresh parsley. 13. Per quart served w. Bread

Broccoli Cheddar Soup.. a classic. Heavy on the broccoli, a bit lighter on the dairy- a combination that creates a creamy, rich and comforting soup. Ingredients: butter, onions, garlic, flour, half and half, veggie stock, bay leaf, broccoli,carrots, cheddar cheese, kosher salt and pepper. 13. Per quart served w. Bread. Vegetarian
