Soups & Sweet Treat 5.2.19

Hello soup customers!  I hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine today!  Looks like after this we will back in the chilly, damp weather pattern we seem to be stuck in. At least it’s still good soup weather!

Cauliflower Cheddar Soup… creamy and full of healthy veggies- carrots, celery, a,d cauliflower. This will warm you up on a dreary day. Ingredients: canola oil, onions, garlic, celery, potatoes (just a few Yukon gold), cauliflower, veggie stock, whole milk, cheddar cheese, kosher salt, pepper and fresh chives  13  per quart served with bread vegetarian, gluten free 

Lentil Sausage & Chard Soup… this is a wonderful soup and a favorite of many.  The broth is delicious!  Ingredients: olive oil, sweet Italian sausage, onions, celery, carrots, garlic, crushed tomatoes, lentils, kosher salt, pepper, chard, and grated Parmesan . 13 . Per quart served with bread.   gluten-free

Soups & Sweet Treat 4.11.19

Welcome April showers!  I always need to remind myself that the dark and dreary days of April will eventually reward us with spring greens and gaudy tulips!  This weeks soup will add a zip of flavor that is needed this time of year.

Mulligatawny- take two!  For details see last weeks post

Mexican Tortilla Soup … Chile, spices, and a big punch of lime make for a delicious Mexican “chicken soup”. I break from tradition by adding some extra veggies. Ingredients: canola oil, onions, poblano, garlic, cumin. Chipotle, tomatoes, zucchini, corn, home made chicken stock, chicken, masa, kosher salt, oregano, pepper, lime, and cilantro. Garnished w. Tortillas, cotija & scallions. 13. Per quart served with bread. Gluten-free 

Sweet Treat : chocolate-chocolate chip cookies. 1.  Each

Welcome April!  This weeks soups & Sweet treats are…

Vegetarian Mulligatawny Soup… one of my most requested soups!  Ingredients: olive oil, garlic, onions, celery, carrots, lentils, tomatoes, chickpeas, tomato juice, curry powder, cumin, coriander, coconut milk, basmati rice, cilantro, kosher salt, and pepper. 13. Per quart served with bread.  Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free 

“Hamburger “ Soup … a soup my grandmother use to make. Best described as an Italian beef and barely. I lightened it up w. Local ground turkey. Ingredients: ground turkey, carrots, onions, celery, garlic,tomatoes, ketchup, barely, oregano, basil, thyme, kosher salt, pepper, and parsley. Garnished with Parmesan. 13. Per quart served with bread. 

Sweet Treat: bananna chocolate chip coffee cake. 2.  Per slice.
