I love to cook and I love to feed people.  As the mother of two small children who works part-time and whose husband works full time I understand how hard it can be to shop, plan, cook and serve a meal at the end of a hectic day.  I decided to start Beets Cooking so that more singles, couples and families can sit down at the end of the day and enjoy a homecooked meal.

I am not a professionally trained chef but worked in many a cafe’, prepping, making soups etc. in my younger years.  As a child, food was an important part of our family life and I remember spending hours in the kitchen watching in awe my Grandmother’s knife skills and breathing in the aromas that would flow out of her pots and pans.  As an adult I became an avid reader of cookbooks, cooking magazines, watcher of cooking shows you name it.  I love food.  I love the colors, the smells and the almost magical ways flavors meld together.

In our now busier then ever society  it is nourishing to the mind and the body to sit down at the end of the day to a meal prepared with fresh ingredients.

My goal with Beets Cooking is to allow you to enjoy the benefits of homecooking without the stress that sometimes accompines it.

  1. What a wonderful service you have! I live in Pembroke, NH and we don’t have anyone in this area who offers a service such as yours!

  2. Heidi, This is wonderful. I’ve heard your meals were great, now everyone in your area will be able to try them! A great idea for all those too busy to shop and cook healthy meals but want the best for their tummies. We wish you well! Pat Reader
