This will be the last soup Thursday of April! This means that when the calender flips to May the clouds will go away & the trees will turn green!

I am still short on jars- if you have MORE then TWO and are in my neighborhood please drop them off!

Red Lentil Soup w. Lemon…unlike most lentil soups- which turn brown & drab- this soup has a beautiful color & bright flavor thanks to the lemon! Ingredients: olive oil, onions, garlic, tomato paste, cumin, chile powder, veggie stock, red lentils, carrots, lemon juice, kosher salt, pepper & fresh cilantro. 13. per quart served w. bread Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten Free

Thai Chicken w. Ginger & Coconut…coconut, lime, Thai curry- YUM! Ingredients: canola oil, chicken, chicken stock, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, sugar, Thai curry paste, shallots, tomatoes, potatoes, coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, watercress, scallions, cilantro, kosher salt & pepper. 13. per quart served w. bread. Gluten Free

Soups & Sweet Treat 4.16.15

What a weekend! It seems that the battle between winter and spring has finally come to an end. We put our screens in, went fishing, and even planted pea seeds in the garden. Ah….

In celebration of warmer weather the soups this week are lighter, fresher, & more spring like…

Roasted Beet Borscht…pretty to look at, yummy to eat, and good hot OR cold! Ingredients: roasted beets, carrots, onions, garlic, veggie stock, fresh thyme, bit of honey, bit of balsamic vinegar, kosher salt, pepper, fresh dill & garnished with sour cream. 13. per quart served w. bread. Vegetarian, Vegan (minus sour cream garnish) & Gluten-Free

Kale Pesto & Edamame Tortellini…Kale pesto? Sounds strange but is delish! I have discovered that by relegating only basil to pesto I was missing out on a world of great combinations! Ingredients: Kale pesto: lacinato kale, garlic, parmesean, lemon, kosher salt, pepper, olive oil. Soup: cheese tortellini, edamame, chicken stock, onions, garlic, kosher salt & pepper. Garnished with freshly grated parmesean. 13. per quart, served w. bread

Soups & Sweet Treat 4.9.15

For those of you that DID NOT order last week- my youngest daughter was sick so I had to cancel. As a result I will be doing the same- with one twist- soups this week!

Corn Chowder w. Cheddar, Bacon & Scallions…YUM! Ingredients: canola oil, bacon, onions, garlic, celery, chicken stock, potatoes, coriander, corn, scallions, parsley, cheddar, whole milk, kosher salt & pepper. 13. per quart served w. bread. Gluten-Free

Minestrone…I changed this around a bit. It IS spring & I thought the addition of some veggies would be nice! Ingredients: olive oil, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, zucchini, green beans, white beans, tomatoes, veggie stock, OPTIONAL elbow noodles, parsley, basil, kosher salt & pepper. 13. per quart, garnished w. OPTIONAL parm. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free (let me know you are gluten-free. The pasta gets added at the end, so it does not get soggy. I will simply omit pasta from you jar!)
